Police reports that there are ongoing demonstrations by members of the public in Longonot town. Please approach the area with caution.

1030hrs.NAIVASHA. Police reports indicate that the demonstrations at Longonot town have been contained. The road is now clear.

Naivasha Public Service vehicles can be disturbed and shops can be closed on Friday.

Media reports indicate that Nairobi is calm.
However there is a problem in accessing Public Service vehicles in Eastlands and Ngong areas.
In some areas of central and Rift valley Provinces, tension is still high.

Nairobi trouble spots cleared and traffic moving along main arteries-Mombasa rd, Uhuru highway, Langata, Waiyaki, Thika, Jogoo, Ngong rds all clear. Law enforcement beefed. Naivasha

NAIVASHA - NAIROBI reports coming in Indicate that the main Nairobi-Naivasha highway near Naivasha has been blocked by demonstrators also areas within Nairobi are experiencing riots. Police are aware and moving in.

Reports coming from SOPA lodge indicates the K.W.S will be containing a rogue hippo which has become a threat at around 1900hrs. Gun shots are expected.
